Quick Prayer Request

Please pray for good weather. We are supposed to leave for Nebraska, on Thursday, to look at a college in Curtis, but if we get the weather that they are forecasting, I don't think we will going anywhere. let alone two states away! Now it wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't go this weekend, but we are supposed to start calving soon, and I don't want to take my dad away from his cows.[smile] For all of those farmers and ranchers out there I am sure you know what I am talking about. Well anyway, I know that God is in control of everything and can change the weather like I change my clothes-for those of you who know me, that can be several times a day. :) Thank You for dropping by and I hope you have a great day!

Determination

" For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not me ashamed."
-Isaiah 50:7

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do; and what I can do, I ought to do; and what I ought to do, by the grace of God I will do.
-Edward Everett Hale

Hey, Megan just for you I did take this picture! [smile] We were driving through Minnesota, and I actually asked my dad to turn around so that I could get a picture of it-Thank You Daddy! The dam, or waterfall, or reservoir [which ever you prefer] was frozen and the water was pushing up underneath it, now that is what I call determination! It was every cool to see. Also I don't know if you can see them in the picture, but there are snow geese (I think that is what they were anyway) on the other side of the bridge. I didn't even notice them until I was taking the picture!

Out with the Old in with the New

I got a new car, I am so excited! We have been looking since before Christmas, and we finally found, what I think is the perfect car! It is a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, and the best part it is burnt orange! Now, before all of you start thinking I am spoiled, I am paying for some of it. We looked at it on Sunday, before we came home from Fargo, and on Tuesday my dad called and dealt with them on it, by Wednesday I was driving it home! I was so nervous on the way home because it was dark out, and I really didn't want to hit a deer, so I drove to my cousin's house over by Oaks spent the night there and got up early to make it to school on time on Thursday! It was a long two days, especially cause I stayed up a little to late gabbing with my cousins on Wednesday night, what a shocker right me staying up talking! [grin]

More exciting news our Internet is working again, it is a little slow, but it is working.
Well today my family and I are going to try to make it to the fishing derby at a near by lake, so I have to cut this short so I am ready by the time my dad gets back from doing chores.

Quick Pray Request

We have a bug going around my family, and so far I have steered clear of it. But right now my Mom is looking pretty awful and she is feeling about the same.

Time

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.

Hello

A thousand hellos from the "Land of a Thousand Lakes". That's right my Family and I are in Minnesota, for a couple of days, we looked at a college for my sister and now we are spending some time with some family friends. But all good things must come to an end, today some time we are heading back to Fargo, ND, to watch the championships at State Wrestling. Then we are spending the night in Fargo and on Sunday we will make the 2 1/2 hour trip home.

This is a Red Headed Woodpecker, they like the feeder here at Mark and Brenda's. Unfortunately every time I tried to take a picture of him, he would fly away! but luckily Mark was able to get this one earlier.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:12-16

Be My Valentine

"Be my Valentine."

We all want to hear that phrase. It simply means "you are loved." I am here to tell you that you are loved. God loves you and wants you to be His Valentine. The love that God gives us is not like the world's love. The World's love is as sturdy as the paper that most Valentine cards are made of. God's Love is not a flimsy cheap imitation. It is the real thing. It is an all giving love that was and is willing to suffer and die for our deliverance.

Will you be God's Valentine? It is your choice. Say yes and return in kind the love that God first gave you. And when you do, remember the first Valentine and the way he gave everything, including his life, to the God he loved.

You never have to be alone on Valentines Day, or any day. God is always there, always waiting, and always ready to give his love to you.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16

In Troubled Times

Don't look at times of testing and be bitter; don't look away from them and refuse to face reality; look through times of testing and see God.
- Jack Hyles

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies and thy hand shall save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.
Psalm 138:7,8

Well I haven't been to good at keeping up with my blog lately have I? No thanks to our home computer, we are have Internet problems at home so it has been interesting trying to get to my posting. Drop Kick Me Jesus

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goal posts of life
End over end, neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous up rights
Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goal posts of life.
Make me, Oh make me, Lord, more than I am
Make me a piece in Your master game plan
Free from the earthly temptations be low
I've got the will, Lord, if You got the toe.
Bring on the brothers, who've gone on before
And all of the sisters, who've knocked on your door
All the departed, dear, loved ones of mine
Stick 'em up front in the offensive line.

Recorded by Bobby Bare, words and music by Paul Craft

When I was up with my Grandpa this is one of the songs we sang, and I thought that it was quite fitting, since the Super Bowl is coming up this weekend. So who is going to win the Colts or the Bears?
