Tagged....I'm "It"

Well, it is now my turn to tell everyone five reasons why I love God :

1. Because he first loved me. (Jeremiah 31:3)
2. He is ALWAYS there for me, to help me no matter what. (2 Corinthians 2:14)
3.
All I need he will provide. (Acts 17:25)
4.
He sent his son to die for me, while I was still a sinner. (Romans 5:8)
5.
The Bible tells me to. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

I don't think I can ever fully understand the magnitude of Gods love for me, how he could send his only (perfect) son to die on the cross for me, to take away my sins. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 That is what this post is all about right...

Ooops...

I know what you are thinking.... It wasn't my fault, in fact I wasn't even in the car when it happened. Some one backed into me at work, while I was diligently scrubbing gates in the back. later that morning I went to get something from my car, and had a "not-so-delightful" surprise on my bumper (pictured above). Well that is not the worst part of this story, for some more bad news, it was a hit-and-run, so I have no clue who did it, and now I get to pay for the damage, that is the part that bothers me the most, having to pay for it won't be a blast, but the person didn't have the common curtsy to come and tell me what had happened.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

2 Days Of Bliss...and Heat

Mondays are never fun to begin with, especially after you get back from a vacation. I got to work and right away I walked a dog, washed dishes, did a load of laundry, cleaned and sterilized a batch of syringes, and then spent the rest of the day scrubbing the shoot in the (unair-conditioned) back... but I did get interrupted at about 3 to go out in the country and look at some cows, which took the rest of the day. A wonderful thing happened as I was leaving work on.... No I didn't get fired, [smile] but I was told that I could take the next 2 days off, because 2 of the vets were gone, and all I would have to do was clean! so now I only have 5 days of work left! YES!!!! Library Fun (some Pictures of our vacation)

Yesterday, my Mom, Grandma and I went to Edgeley, to a produce sale, and had lunch with my sister, then my Grandma and I went up to, my Aunts and I got a hair cut, and she got a perm... not to worry it was more like a trim! Well then I stayed at my Grandparents house and ended up singing a whole bunch of hymns, with my grandpa as he played the accordion, it was a lot of fun, well today it hit about 101 degree out, so it was a good day to do house work, then I headed in to town for play practice...we perform tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday, and the main character still doesn't know his parts...very interesting! And right about now it is about that time to go to bed, because like it or not I have to work in the morning!

~5 Days Left!~

Nebraska.....

I just got back from my trip to Nebraska, it was a lot of fun...I don't have a lot of pictures so if you want more, Megan and the Wissmanns do! It was a lot of driving...but I think it was worth it! From sand volleyball, tubing and skiing, and checking out the cute "little" town of Seward, it was a lot of fun, oh and one can't forget the all the laughing, talking, Gomer Pyle movies, and Ultimate uno! what a fun weekend...hopefully we can do it again! Well now I am off to stack hay bales with Brandi and her family...it will be alot of fun, especially with the 90 degree weather! I can't wait to jump in the lake when we are done, I won't scrap my toe this time... [smile] Hopefully can I post more pictures of the weekend later this week...

GUESS WHAT? only 8 days until I am done working at the Vet Clinic! Yippee!!

She's Gone!

The tradition continues, whenever we ride in the back of the convertible, we have to take pictures!

Hey, you'd be scared too... :D
Simple things amuse me! [smile]

Micki left Fargo at 2 0'clock this morning on a bus heading for Minneapolis, MN. The concert was great they sounded so good for only practicing for about 3 days, it was about 3 hours long, which was stretching the limit for Brandi and I so whenever Micki wasn't on stage, we would sit out in the hall and listen from there, that way we could talk with out feeling that we where being rude. The concert was over about at 9 and we had to run to Wal-Mart to pick up last minute things for Micki, before having her back at the dorms by 10. So we decided to grab some burgers, and head back and eat with Micki, then we had to stay while she went through all her stuff, so we could take home anything she didn't need. So finally about Midnight, we were saying our goodbyes and after many hugs we finally left. It is so much harder to say good-bye when you know they are going a long way away! But we didn't head for home right then, we had to make another pit stop at Wal-Mart, to get some things for my Grandma, and my Aunt Naomi... around 1:30 we are once again back in the car and this time, it is headed towards home, the 1 1/2 hour drive to my Aunts house wasn't bad, cause I was able to sleep, but the 1 1/2 hour drive ahead of me and Grandma was gonna be a long one! We left my Naomi's house at 3:30, so can every one figure out what time I got home? 5:00 in the morning! yikes... I could actually see dawn breaking, and under normal circumstances I would have stayed up to watch the sunrise, but I had to work in the morning so I thought it best to go to bed instead. I didn't go to work at 8 like normally, my mom called in and they said that it would be okay if I was there by 11, so I was able to get more then 2 hours of sleep!

Lillies are my favorite flower... Can you tell they are Mother and Daughter?

I don't know which one is prettier, Brandi or the flowers?

You changed me for good!Just another picture to add to the funny face library... haha

Yes! That is really dawn peeking up in the east over the horizon.

It's Here... It's Here!

This is my first officially post using my new computer! It came yesterday in afternoon. I was so surprised cause it wasn't supposed to come for another 5 days, I love surprises...[smile]

Well for a quick recap of the week, on Sunday I went to church in Oakes, Pastor Dean had a GREAT message, on Satan, and how he deceives us, he talked a lot about music, and how bad it is, and even though we don't think it changes us after listening to that..."stuff" (for lack of nicer word) long enough, it will impact you! The same with TV, we must remember...
" I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes"- Psalm 101:3

Well anyway, it fit right in with the book I am currently reading, Battle Cry For A Generation, The Fight to Save America's Youth By: Ron Luce

Well after that I went out to my cousin Micki's house, to help her pack, or should I say "pack" for her trip to Europe, I am sure I was more of a distraction then anything, being that we ended up talking most of the time! What a shock right? ;) Well my uncle went fishing and my plan was to stay for supper and then head home, well plans change... Micki and I ended up going and get My Uncle Jeff and a church friend Earl, for they blew a tire on the boat trailer, so we are taking them back to the boat, and the car went crazy... the windshield wipers turned on high, even though they were turned off, the car went hot and smoke started billowing out of the CD player. The alternator went out... so there we were sitting in the middle of no where - not hard to find in North Dakota! with smoke pouring off the engine, I know every little about motors, but that is rarely, if ever a good sign! Well so much for fixing the boat tire! a nice man came by and gave Jeff a ride to the suburban, meanwhile 2, 18 year old girls and an 81 year old man are left waiting by the side of the road...! well Jeff did return and towed Micki and I back to the house, so much for being home around 7ish, it is no going on 10:30 and we still hadn't eaten supper. So we ate some pizza and I headed out, the hour drive wasn't so bad, until I got home to have a whole bunch of floating eyes crossing the road in front of my mail box...the cows were out, I was home alone, it was dark and they were black steers. So assessing the situation, I decided to call for help... so at midnight, I called my uncle Kenny and explained the happenings, fortunately they were not ours so I was able to go to sleep. I had to work in the morning nothing to significant happened there... and then I came home to find my lap top was here! Then I went back into town for Play Practice, and my car was telling me that my tire pressure was low... on the tire that i just got fixed! Perfect and our air compressor is not at our house and I am running late already, so I decide to go into town and put air in at the station in town, well either I am mental, I already admitted that I am not a mechanic, but I have never had a problem putting air in a tire... before last night that is, because tire as I am the air was not going into the tire but to my horror, it was getting flatter! After a slight panic attack, I decided to go to play practice and when I got back to town I would try the other station, well practice went until 10ish so it is pouring rain at this point, and my tire is holding what little air that it had in it but it was still not gaining any air. And it wasn't just me, Lori Feil tried, and Brent Ulmer, who happened to be passing by... the boy worked at a Jiffy Lube, and even he couldn't get air in the tire, at this point from every only trying to get air in, and air kept coming out, my tire was now at 15 psi, it is supposed to be at 44 psi. Not Good... Lori had to go home and Brent was kind enough to give me a ride home... and my poor car was stuck in town, well it is fixed now, but still in town, due to the fact that I haven't quite figured out how to drive two cars at once, although it is on my list of things to do! [grin] To the conclusion of my story, turns out gas stations turn their air hoses off at night, but not completely because when I would check there was still air coming out. Oh well everything worked out, the Lord did provide for me, everything I needed, even if I was just a wee little bit stressed at the time. Oh and if any of you are wondering why I didn't put the spare on... cause it was quite literally down pouring outside, and I had no dry clothes. If I would have had to, I could have, but I chose to stay dry instead, being I had a ride home.

Tomorrow Micki has a concert in Fargo, before she leaves for Europe, where she will be for 2 weeks, [sniff sniff]... I miss her already! I am planning on going to the concert... hopefully get there with out any car trouble... I have had enough of the side of the road for a while! :)

America

Happy 221st Birthday, America

Fun Facts:

  • Pennsylvania and South Carolina where the only two states that voted "NO" to the Constitution.
  • In 1801, the first public Fourth of July reception at the White House occurred.
  • In 1804, the first Fourth of July celebration west of the Mississippi occurred at Independence Creek and was celebrated by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark
  • Did you know that the words "Under God" weren't added until 1954 to the Pledge of Allegiance?
  • Every 4th of July the Liberty Bell is tapped - not actually rung.
  • It is only appropriate to fly the flag upside down, but only in an emergency. It means "Help Me, I am in Trouble!"
  • In 1976, the nation's Bicentennial occurs.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
--Abraham Lincoln

The Pledge of Allegiance.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands.
One nation under God, indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.

It is IMPOSSIBLE rightly to govern the world without God and the Bible.

Michael

Happy 14th Birthday
I am definitely going to miss you this fall when I am at college, your goofing moments, the serious talks we have! You have grown up so fast... starting out at 2 and a half pounds, you are no longer that tiny little baby that fit in the palm of Daddy's hand, you are the hard working young man that puts many hours in on the farm, but know that no matter how big you get, you will never out grow your Heavenly Father's Hand!
Little Known Facts:
  • He was the smallest baby in the family at 2 1/2 pounds, he was so small my dad could fit his wedding ring around his wrist.
  • He was 2 months old when he got to come home from the hospital...for the first time.
  • My sister wanted to name him Beethoven M&M Wolf, because when we found out we had a brother, she was watching Beethoven, the movie about the St. Bernard..., and eating M& M's.
  • He loved going out in the field with Dad in the tractor, and was known to sleep the whole time.
  • He broke his thumb playing at the park, when they took the cast off he had flax sprouting inside it.
  • He broke is elbow wrestling when he was 9.
  • He found out that cars can't swim this last fall.
  • And quite recently he ran my sisters bicycle into a power pole. (He needs to work on his driving skills.)

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
1 John 2:14
